This is one of the four last pristine tropical forest areas in the world. The 1400 square miles large reserve is home to jaguars, cougars, and the largest otters, eagles and caimans of the world.

Location:Central Guyana situated on the upper course of the Essequibo, accessible by boat only.
Hotel facilities:Restaurant, bar, 2 shops, a boat dock, full service camping facility down river at the base of Turtle Mountain, a research building with 6 bedrooms and shared washroom facilities, a training building with 4 rooms containing multiple bunk beds and an auditorium.

Fly Ogle-Lethem-Ogle with Transguyana Air (1 hrs. 15 min.) $ 431 / £ 366 per person. Return Transfer Lethem-Iwokrama-Lethem (2 hrs) $ 731 / £ 621 per person (1-4 persons).
